Hand carved and painted red winged blackbird earrings by Coquette's Armoire
Pieces are handwoven junco, made with natural fibers from Santa Barbara, made with natural hydrangeas, gourd, bamboo, palm, and wood. Through the cottage industry, Coquette's Armoire Fair Trade employ mothers at home, raising their kids in their own communities, preventing them from migrating to cities and other countries in search of work. They use inherited craft techniques to create contemporary objects, and in this way they keep culture heritage vibrant, alive, and healing the world.
